ABOUT THIS TOOL

The Batch Recipe Converter is the ultimate kitchen companion for chefs, bakers, and home cooks. Scaling a recipe up or down has never been easier: simply enter the original number of servings and the desired servings, then add your ingredients with their original amounts and units. Our intelligent converter instantly calculates the new quantities, preserving flavour balance and texture. Whether you're doubling a birthday cake or halving a large batch of soup, the tool handles fractions and decimals with ease.

Units are fully customisable — grams, kilograms, cups, tablespoons, teaspoons, millilitres, ounces, pounds, or even "pinch". The built‑in scaling factor (desired/original) is applied uniformly, but you can also manually tweak any ingredient factor for special cases (e.g., eggs). Every ingredient row includes a "scale factor" that you can adjust individually. This is perfect when you need to adapt leavening agents or spices differently. The remove button lets you delete any row, and the "Add ingredient" button gives you unlimited entries.

Behind the scenes, the converter uses high‑precision JavaScript arithmetic, so quantities remain accurate even when scaling by unusual ratios like 7:11. The result list shows each ingredient with its new amount and the unit you selected. There's also a handy reset button to clear all rows and start fresh. Use it for meal prep, restaurant menu development, or educational teaching. The tool is fully responsive and works on smartphones, tablets, and desktops. We purposely kept the interface clean – no clutter, no intrusive ads, just pure conversion power.

We built this with love for the cooking community. If you ever need to scale a family recipe or adjust a professional formula, this converter saves time and prevents miscalculations.
